Does anyone have card suggestions about making a strong modern zoo deck? So far: 4 Wild Nacatl 4 Lightning Bolt 3 Path to Exile . Is Goblin Guide a consideration? Figure of Destiny ? Rancor ? Is Kird Ape a must? How about Loam Lion ? Goblin Guide over Kird Ape ? Would Vexing Devil make the deck too much like red deck wins?

Goblin Guide is aggro gold, so is Figure of Destiny (I mean hell, they reprinted it in MMA right?) Personally I'd go with Goblin Guide over Kird Ape because I like haste

Thank you for the suggestion and commenting! (-: What about Vexing Devil?

Vexing Devil is definitely a viable choice, it's kind of like a creature version of Browbeat , not something I would personally use, but it's a good card

Here's the Blitz Naya deck I've been working on, with a very similar shell to what you are suggesting:

This deck is somewhat different from other Blitz Zoo decks in that it splashes blue for Geist of Saint Traft , which hits extremely hard. The cards also synergize well with Experiment One , as in many games I essentially have eight copies of Wild Nacatl . I hope this helps you find a direction for your deck.

Thanks to both of you. I noticed that Wild Children was running Steppe Lynx, so, just for the sake of me considering Steppe Lynx, could you explain your reasoning behind adding it to the deck?

@catcherinbaseball The reasoning lies mostly in the landbase. All of the fetchlands (Arid Mesa , Scalding Tarn , Verdant Catacombs ) allow Steppe Lynx to attack for 4 whenever you play them and crack them to search for a dual land, making it an extremely powerful aggressive creature. 4/5's for 1 are generally playable. :) One might play even more fetchlands to maximize on its power, something I may do in the future.

Another question, because I'm trying to cut down on the price of the deck, is Skinshifter an option over Tarmogoyf ?

@thispersonisagenius: I'm probably not going to be running a great manabase (as in fetches) so I guess I shouldn't use steppe lynx. Is Flinthoof Boar good enough?

@catcherinbaseball If you're looking to run a budget aggro deck with Wild Nacatl and no fetchlands, be warned that it isn't going to be very powerful. Wild Nacatl 's main power lies in the fact that it can attack for 3 on turn 2, and without fetchlands this is very difficult to do. Flinthoof Boar is a solid replacement for Tarmogoyf and Loam Lion can replace Steppe Lynx .
