Deck Help forum

Okay, so I have a deck called Morbid Death, I typically win with it. But, I want to make it better, and possibly add in this Combo: Play Reassembling Skeleton and Blood Artist , then play Unhallowed Pact on an awesome creature your opponent has, then use a Bone Splinters , sacrifice the Reassembling Skeleton , kill the opponent's creature that you just had Unhallowed Pact attached to, take their creature, regenerate Reassembling Skeleton , and gain 2 Life, and make the opponent lose 2 life due to Blood Artist 's ability, all in one turn.

It may seem complicated, but I just can't sum it up in a few sentences like some of you guys. Should I add in this combo, and, and card suggestion?

*and, any card suggestions?

4 card combos are near impossible to pull off and really need to win you the game to be worth it. Even 3 card combos don't get pulled too often.

If you like that combo, you're going to love Grave Betrayal .

@Chibisukei Yes, I know that, but even using half of the combo would be nice. (i.e. Bone Splinters and Reassembling Skeleton , Blood Artist and Bone Splinters , etc.)

@Rhadamanthus Wow, thanks for recommending that card, I'll make sure to add that in.

Okay, so I have an idea for another combo... Get Liliana of the Dark Realms , use her emblem ability once she has enough counters.(The ability makes each swamp have the ability to tap it and add 4 skulls to your mana pool) Then play Reassembling Skeleton and Bloodthrone Vampire . Sacrifice Reassembling Skeleton , bring it back, sacrifice it again, bring it back etc. until you want to stop. Bloodthrone Vampire 's ability will then make her get +2/+2 for each time you sacrificed Reassembling Skeleton . Does this work, or am I failing to understand the ability?

That works just fine.

The one thing to bear in mind is, while these combos work in theory, in practice, the more cards you use as gears, the more vulnerable the engine is to an enemy wrench. (If I can take that metaphor too far.) All you need in the Liliana combo is for someone to wait until you're done burning through your mana, and then shoot out Bloodthrone Vampire at instant speed, which almost any color can do in Standard (Murder , Smite the Monstrous , Peel from Reality , Ambush Viper , and for Red legacy, Cinder Cloud , for examples).

@xantm70nYes, I realize that, but you can pull off this combo without Liliana, and I'll just have to figure out a way to deal with those instant kill cards. Are there any black cards like Cancel ?

Also, any black combos with relatively cheap card suggestions?

The best Black combos I can think of involve Mikaeus, the Unhallowed . He's not quite cheap, but you might have the budget for him. Also, I don't know of much black countermagic, and that which I do know is both circumstantial and legacy.

@xantm70 Mikaeus is an awesome card to add to my deck, and he's not too expensive for me.

Also, I found this black counter spell: Dash Hopes

It was the best one I could find in my opinion.

If you don't think that it's good, what about Not of This World ?

I assume that Not of This World would actually be better, because one my Bloodthrone Vampire is all buffed up, it'll probably have a power of 7 or greater.
