Mono-Black Control... Splashing White?

So I have recently put together a Mono-Black deck that plays like all the others, except instead of the blue or green splash, I splash white for Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Obzedat, Ghost Council for some finishers, and I was wondering if anyone was doing the White splash and if so, how it is playing. If not, how does everyone think it is going to play? I am going to take it to my FNM this week and test it, but I wanted some ideas and feedback.

well i had a mono black devotion deck. I added red for some removal. it worked well. If youre going to add a color, make it green, red, or white. Green for removal/artifact and enchant removal. red for things like dreadbore and slaughter games. and white for like you said obzedat, blood baron, theres also artifact removal.
go ahead and add white. make it unique, just do it. Will it work, yeah probably.

Are you playing just obzedat? Blood baron? Remember you're also playing gray merchant which is another 5 drop so you don't want to play too many. Also obzedat is a bit harder to cast with the double white needed.

Very true, my white consists of 1 Obzedat and 2 blood barons, with 1 blood Baron side

That should be good. Just have at least the shocks and scry lands to go with it that way casting Nightveil specter won't be a problem

I don't have any specters, and I don't plan on picking them up at 10 dollars haha

So I traded for a lot of stuff tonight and the deck is looking really strong, ended up cutting the Obzedat due to him just not doing anything and, while he is more devotion, he also is a double white cost that did hurt a little
