I assumed things that had taxing abilities were "hatebears". Theres always the possibility that I'm wrong and am using a term incorrectly. I'm a noob. I make mistakes.
Anyway, give a little more information, what does the term "hatebears" refer to?

GW Hatebears is a modern deck. Stuff like Gaddock Teeg and Voice of Resurgence are hatebears. Not only are they efficient bodies, but they have a great ability that significantly hurts certain decks. Its more of an anti-meta deck

That's what I was going for with cards like Imposing Sovereign and Spirit of the Labyrinth Combined with taxing removal like Soul Tithe and taxing defense in Sphere of Safety which works well with Blind Obedience (another hate card) and Spirit of the Labyrinth

Oh yeah, and they're called bears because they have the same mana costs and P/T as Grizzly Bears , the quintessential bear

Its not that your decks arent tax/hate based, they just aren't bears. I think that's what Devonin was getting at.

This is more of a Death and Taxes build for standard. Well, more like Bills and Taxes....
Anyway, I would go with the second version myself. Ephara can net you quite a few cards with all the weenies you're playing.

Man, things which aren't 2/2 for 2 get to be called bears now? What has the world come to?
