I'm assuming you mean Quirion Druid , since you're talking about FNM.

If that's the case, your friend is doing it wrong if he's only running 2 colors. Making it RUG literally doubles the power of the deck. Then you can use shit like Bonfire of the Damned and Huntmaster of the Fells  ^Flip .
