Zandl's New Bant (suggestions?)
Anything to add/remove? Ideas? Suggestions?
The concept of the deck is to ramp up and set back my opponent with Detention Sphere or Supreme Verdict if I need to, and then just start dropping bombs and drawing cards.
I thought about it. I really did. But the deck just wants to be either ramping/wiping or dropping bombs. Having Restoration Angel in my opening hand means I won't be using it until the fifth turn, minimum. And even then, Restoration Angel 's usefulness is easily negated by a simple kill-spell.

Suit yourself, but I think it is one of the most optimal combat tricks or aggro strategies.
Imagine attacking out while you are at low life, your opponent plays a burn spell or something that would put you within killing distance that turn, and after they attack you use the angel on your armada wurm and crush the whole attack, then win the next turn with 3 tramplewurms.
Plus on another notr you have nothing on turn one, so you can afford evolving wilds, or if that seems bad at least arbor elf or avacyn'a pilgrim.

I don't need Evolving Wilds . There is plenty of mana-fixing. And a turn-1 mana-dork would be terrible with only 5 turn-1 Green sources.
I've played with Restoration Angel in large, 500-person tournaments before. You don't have to tell me why it's good. I just don't think it fits into this deck very well. Without a turn-3 Blade Splicer , I'm saving my Restoration Angel into the late-game. At that point, why not just drop another Armada Wurm ?

Eh, I playtested against zombies, which is going to be the new deck to beat, and THere were situations where an angel would have helped. However, the deck would run fine normally and even bonfire fails to beat you most of the time. I would at least put them in the sideboard for when you are plaing against a fast aggro deck like zombies. Plus, you are weak to a turn 1 delver just beating your face 2 or 3 times befor you can recover. I still like it though.

Azorius Charm will knock out Delver before it can deal any damage to me.

I don't understand why you're so reluctant to play t in your sideboard. It's much better and more relevent than Redirect , Silklash Spider or Ray of Revelation

Redirect completely negates Bonfire of the Damned and will be a good answer to Abrupt Decay and similar must-have cards.
Silklash Spider will help me deal with the inevitable onslaught of Azorius Spirit decks.
Ray of Revelation kills Oblivion Ring , Detention Sphere , Intangible Virtue , Favorable Winds , and any of the myriad Enchantments that are all at least somewhat playable from RTR.
To be honest, though, the more I think about adding in Restoration Angel , the more I'm getting turned on to the idea. I'll test the deck with 2 or 3 copies main-board this week and let you know how it goes.
Sometimes it just takes someone to be persistent to make me see why a choice is a good one.

Whatever you choose, I think it will still be a good deck.
