Yes, I know, yet another discard deck. Maybe somebody out there REALLY, REALLY loves the theme and never gets tired of it?
Anyway, my version is called deck:edward-no-hands.
Not many creatures can compete with Desecration Demon 's 6 power (even late-game), so Triumph of Cruelty makes your opponent discard a card for free. It's almost like a Liliana of the Veil that doesn't force you to discard, too! Almost...
Tried to use more "discard a card at random" effects to limit the amount of choices the opponent has, which is why I chose Black Cat over Ravenous Rats , and Night Terrors over Mind Rot . With creatures (hopefully) being sacrificed to the Demon, Morbid is able to trigger for Gruesome Discovery so I can hand-pick cards to remove.
Kill spells help to remove threats that reach the board, like an untimely Loxodon Smiter .
card:Runechanter's Pike was included due to the high number of sorceries and instants, and it creates a win-con when paired with Vampire Nighthawk or Desecration Demon . Essence Harvest is an alternate win-con to pull off late game with a Pike-equipped creature, preferably Demon.
Would Sign in Blood be better to include than Underworld Connections ? Sign in Blood pumps Pike, but Connections is reusable.
