Deck Help forum

From your experience, is it worth playing Necropotence in a tri-color EDH deck, or is it too often that you find yourself unable to cast it?

The deck that I am asking for is this:http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/a-rock-and-a-hard-place/

It is ALWAYS worth running Necropotence .

Mana fixing is too damn east in EDH. That being said, if you are more green central with your landbase it might not be the most reliable T3 drop but every time you see it you win.

Necropotence is such a good card. You should have many duals that can provide the mana.

You're running an optimized mana base, so it shouldn't be too hard to drop it turn 3. And even if it doesn't come down that early, it's still incredibly powerful.

Necropotence is one of the best card draw enchantments you can play (if not the best). Add an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and some other mana fixing and you'll be fine.

And I look at your deck list after posting this and find that there already is an Urborg. So scratch that last statement.

But still, play with Necropotence .
