Need help with a deck Idea

I have been playing a junk re-animator for the past month and a half. The deck has done spectacularly, placing first at a few FNM events. It has also inspired an idea for a variant of this deck that i need help with. Rather then junk, it runs esper colors, using self mill from blue and adding Storm tide Leviathan as a target for reanimation. I have been having trouble finding ways to establish myself in the early turns and gaining lost ground in the late game. Any help that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.
