need some help with shamans

I have played magic off and on for a long time. I've lost alot of cards to make money so I don't have much of a base to trade with and funds are very limited. I am interested in modern and I wanted to build something fun this shaman deck seems to have a good tempo, and with the most recent banning seems like it could work very well. shaman king is my build. I would appreciate any advice. most of the local modern meta is aggro, if that helps.
