what cards allow you to search your deck for non basic lands and put them either into your hand or right out?

What format are we aiming for?

In standard: Expedition Map , Rune-Scarred Demon , Diabolic Tutor will let you do that.

Also Primeval Titan .

Nonstandard gives a ton more options, including Endless Horizons (can fetch anything with the land type Plains), Scapeshift , etc.

What colors and format are you working with?

Some really good options that haven't been mentioned yet are Sylvan Scrying , Reap and Sow , and Wargate (X=0). What kind of deck are you building?

I'm trying to build a deck around Dark Depths . So I need to remove counters quickly as well.

Dark Depths + Vampire Hexmage is a classic combo. It also goes well with Hex Parasite .

You're probably best of doing 4x Hexmage, 4x Parasite, 4x Dark Depths, and 4x Expedition Map as a starter.

Awesome thanks! Any black cards that can help me search for Vampire Hexmage ? I'd like to go mono black and artifacts.

There's a bunch of really good black tutor cards, but they're up around $20 a piece, and several are banned or restricted. Vampiric Tutor , Demonic Tutor , etc.

You could also just do brute dig in Sign in Blood , Dark Confidant , and Phyrexian Arena /Dark Tutelage to get your components. Since none of the pieces to this combo have CMC greater than 2, it's fairly safe to take that approach.

Can I use Fate Transfer to remove the counters from Dark Depths as well?

You have to make it a creature first, because of Transfer's targeting restriction (and you have to have another creature to move them to).

So I could maybe use like Corrupted Zendikon ?

That would work, yes.
