I would like to know more about the difference between control and cruel control grixis. Also any reference decks or articles that could provide good incite into grixis control would be most appreciated.
I ask this because I made a bet with someone that I could build a grixis cruel control for multiplayer as they said that any control deck cannot hold its ground in multiplayer. Unfortunatly I do not know much about the concepts behind Grixis and the test for the deck will be a 6 person free for all.

Control is very unstable in multiplayer scenarios because it has to divide its resources so carefully and thinly throughout the game.
Control is the basic approach of, well, controlling the game until you reach a stable board state that you can win from. For example, most control decks use counterspells and removal to prevent opponents from resolving or using their resources properly. Then, after disrupting their opponents, control decks stabilize and launch their own attack.
Cruel control is based around Cruel Ultimatum . The card is devastating in 1v1s, but it isn't really that effective in multiplayer because it's prohibitively expensive, completely color saturated, and only hits one opponent.
Are you looking to build a Standard deck or a causal one? I would assume casual, but you haven't said one way or the other.
Your best bet will probably be to go with sweepers and mass removal instead of targeted removal and counterspells. This way, you can hit everything with Volcanic Fallout s or Evacuation s without having to focus down one opponent and take heat from the others. Your wincon could be something like Blood Tyrant , Demigod of Revenge , Dominus of Fealty , or Grave Titan .

Sorry about that. I should have elaborated more.
The deck does not have to follow any format, so casual, and has to be 60 or more cards according to the rules of the chanellege. I am all for using infinite combos and I have no budget for the deck.

In general, if you want cards that work well in "multi-player free-for-all", look for cards that effect "each opponent" or "all opponents", as well as "each player", or "all players".
Cards such as Butcher of Malakir , Fatespinner , Lavaborn Muse , or Shivan Gorge will effect everyone.
I especially like Lightning Reaver as it can attack the least defended player to gain counters, and then deal damage to all opponents.

Cruel control is derived from Cruel Ultimatum . Not exactly the best card for multiplayer as it kind of only nukes one person. But I think a control deck probably can work for multiplayer, you'll need to forego spot removal in favor of board wipers, ie Damnation , Devastation Tide and Blasphemous Act . You'll want life gain to keep yourself going because once they see you stopping their game plan they'll react. Blood Tithe comes to mind, Syphon Mind is nice too.
I think incidental, incremental advantage may be a good thing do you can fly under the radar. Blood Artist , card:Liliana's Caress or card:Jace's Erasure all seem like good routes to follow, Mindbreak Trap will serve its purpose too.
