Negate or Mizzium Skin?

I'm making an izzet deck at the moment and I'm torn between Mizzium Skin and Negate . Negate can counter all that non-creature stuff, but Mizzium Skin can provide pump and cheap, easy protection from removal. My deck's name is They never see it coming. Ever. and help would be greatly appreciated. :)

In that deck Mizzium Skin is quite a bit better. Otherwise Negate is strictly better for dealing with removal.

I would go with Negate to counter board wipes, planeswalkers, enchantments, kill cards.

I would go with Mizzium Skin for that deck. It comes off as a tight knit aggro deck that wants to kill fast (to me anyway) and Mizzium Skin also interacts with Nivix Cyclops and Guttersnipe . The only board wipe I can think of that should worry you is Supreme Verdict but that's uncounterable so Negate doesn't do anything.

Merciless Eviction is also a thing but that is 6 mana and if you can't finish someone off by turn 6-7 things are looking grim for you anyway.
