New to MTG, need help on deck.

I just started. I trust my friend, but he is also really competitive, so I wouldn't put it past him to work on a competitive edge by making my deck a little subpar. Can I get any help? Even if you tell me to scrap and go in a different direction, I'm all ears!

ok so ive just bought 4 moonmist to add to the deck. released a couple land and the cryptborn horror for it
