Nydus Counters: First Standard

So this past Wednesday I took this deck off to its first standard. I ended up having to leave early because I had to run to Fedex Office, but I still got a decent number of games in. out of the four games I played all of them went 2-1. Each match I ran into the same problem of my opponents' decks just being overall faster. The ones I did win however, were not close, they were all pretty one-sided on my part. Land was almost never an issue.

Huge Vampire Nighthawk due to Corpsejack Menace and Bioshift and a rather large and unblockable Primordial Hydra thanks to Corpsejack Menace and Rogue's Passage (which happened to work better than I thought) are two wincons that worked well for me.

At this point I'm having a pretty serious love/hate relationship with Lotleth Troll. His cost for ability ratio is amazing. I just never find myself using his +1/+1 ability due to cards like Slitherhead no longer being in my main deck. However the regenerate ability has saved my ass in a number of situations.

Vraska the Unseen is another card I have a love/hate relationship with. It just takes sooo longgg to get to her ultimate. I think she is an underrated card, but I think I need to figure out a way to put her to better use.

Final Thoughts: I might need to put the Slitherheads back. Thinking about adding in Fog (main deck or sideboard). Rethinking the decks ramping abiltiies, i.e. Gyre Sage and Arbor Elf. Still unsure of whether to default with Vampire Nighthawk or Dreg Mangler. Trying to decide to go with 2 or 3 Bioshift.
