Opinions for last FNM in this standard

Deck Help forum

So I need opinions for the last FNM in this standard, I have 2 decks that I can take and I just want some opinions on what to take.

In the Izzet League this is called Shock Blocking

is the first which is a Young Pyromancer boros control

and

Dega Control

is the second which is a more midrange-y control with mainboarded Anger of the Gods

Boros seems a bit more gimicky with Path of Bravery + pyromancer and Assemble the Legion tokens, and dega seems a bit more stable if I can get the correct mana.

Thoughts?

Think your Dega deck will be too slow, mainly because of the landbase. You definitely need all the shocks, and even then it's held back a bit because it's missing some of the Temples that are coming out in BNG (Temple of Malice ) instead of guildgates.

Your izzet deck seems a bit held back because the 7 enchantments are kind of counterintuitive for a Young Pyromancer build...but they're obviously good enchantments.

Personally I like the Dega deck.

Path of Bravery and Spear of Heliod make the pyromancer into a pseudo-Master of Waves , while Path of Bravery makes use of all the 1/1 solders and 1/1 elementals for some life, and counters the Jace, Architect of Thought +1, but yeah I like the dega a bit more, and the guildgates work fine, I have absolutely no turn 1 plays so one coming in tapped doesn't matter and by turn 3 I should be killing a creature every turn, they'll run out of creatures before I run out of kill spells or I just toss out a fattie and force em to go on the defensive.

True...only really saw/thought about the Chained to the Rocks . I really like both ideas actually. Either way that you choose, good luck!

Stick to what works if you have been winning. If you haven't been play this R/W Manswer's and show em!
