Orim's Thunder or Duergar Hedge-Mage?
Deck Help forum

In every deck I have that contains the colors red and white, I have a copy of Orim's Thunder , but I am considering replacing it with Duergar Hedge-Mage . I cannot cast the mage as an instant, but it has a lower (and more flexible) mana cost, can destroy up to two permanents, and provides a creature that can attack and block, so I feel that it may be a better choice.
What does everyone else here say about this? Should I replace Orim's Thunder with Duergar Hedge-Mage ?

*Distribution of Plains and Mountains, I mean

Neither, the 2/2 body isn't worth the hoops of needing 2 of mountains and plains for max value in anything but straight boros (and boros isn't really all that strong) and the 4-6 potential damage isn't worth paying almost twice what Disenchant is.

I think Wear / Tear is your best bet over both of those options. Low CMC and flexibility is king.

PhyrexianWombat, Hjaltrohir, I like those suggestions, because Wear / Tear can destroy two permanents for either the same or a lower mana cost than can Orim's Thunder , the damage is rarely relevant, and that card shall trigger both abilities of Balefire Liege , whereas the thunder shall trigger only one.

I'd say it depends on if you have a wide enough distribution to destroy two permanents consistently with Hedge-Mage.
I think Wear / Tear is worth a look as well.
