Deck Help forum

I've been playing with the final form of my Spring Cleaning deck today and it's been winning! Still, this is the first deck I've made in years so I'm not familiar with what I could be up against. Are there any cards or deck types that I will be very weak against? Suggestions for eliminating those weaknesses?
At one point I had Natural End and Murder because I thought I needed cards to destroy cards. But they didn't really fit the feel and rhythm of this deck.
I consider resurrection to be more of an option than a necessity. If I can't get creatures out of my graveyard, I can simultaneously get creatures in and beef up creatures on the battlefield with Lotleth Troll and Wasteland Viper . Not getting cards out also makes Ghoultree easier to cast. Endless Ranks of the Dead and Parallel Lives don't depend on the graveyard at all. Then there's card:Jarad's Orders to streamline the process and get me the cards I need.
I have (barely!) won against an opponent in a game where I couldn't get anything in my graveyard because all of my cards were exiled instead. I haven't encountered card:Grafdigger's Cage yet, but I think I can win against it by improving my strategies. The biggest thing is, I don't think Naturalize will be more beneficial than any of the cards that are already in the deck. Sideboard... maybe. But I'm really leaning towards the vampires for that. :) I'm thinking that changing the creature base would be more crafty than adding an instant since it will work against my opponents conception of my deck.

Thates true, if you can increase your creature base and not rely on GY play then you wouldn't run into those kinds of problems. One creature I thought would work well with your concept is Bloodflow Connoisseur that would give you a vampire and another way to get creatures to the GY for Ghoultree . Again I like the overall look of this deck and about the only issues I could see you having is against things like Red Deck Wins and possibly American Midrange (R/U/W control) with the speed that these decks operate I think you could run into trouble. If you have had winning matches against these kinds of decks I'd love to hear about it.

You're definitely right about the speed issue. that's why I call my life a resource! Timing and choosing my battles have been crucial in the games that I've won. And I did spend some time trying to think of ways to control my opponents speed without ruining my own flow. Terrifying Presence and Deadly Allure have helped, but it's still shaky sometimes. But that might just be because I haven't gotten used to playing.
I haven't played against any strong Red Deck Wins or American Midrange decks. The only red deck I played was fast and had a lot of one drops but horrible defense - it was easy to break through. But I really want to see how I can fare against those types of decks! I don't know a lot about deck classifications. How would you classify mine?
I like Bloodflow Connoisseur a lot. I just put it in the sideboard (with Bloodthrone Vampire and Bloodline Keeper Flip ) like 2 hours before your comment lol. But I hadn't considered using it as part of the main deck. I was thinking about getting rid of Sands of Delirium and one of the Lilianas so that I can add more creatures. Maybe I'll try that with Bloodflow Connoisseur .

As soon as I read that you use your GY I knew what to say lol. There are alot of cards out there at the moment such as card:Grafdigger's Cage that screw the GY play idea, if you throw some artifact/enchantment removal into your sideboard you should be fine, Naturalize comes to mind for green but there are others that you could use as well. I remember the first time I played a zombie reanimator deck and I played card:Grafdigger's Cage turn 1, my opponent read the card, put his hand down and said I had just, with one card, completely shut down his deck and he had no way of dealing with artifacts lol that is the only game I have ever won with one card.
