Is there another card to fill Preordains stop when it rotates out. Ponder is close but looking for other possibilities. Thanks

Ponder is the most similar card. A U drop that manipulates the top few cards of your library.

I have no idea what the person before me is saying. All they did was compiled a list of cantrips, most of which will rotate out. Not even sure if he knows what Preordain is.

It's not white but it appears that Skinshifter is the replacement for the hawk. It is also more versatile as it can gain trample which is useful if you need player combat damage, the requirement for the Sword cycle. It can also block.

There is no replacement for squadron hawk, find a different creature to play a different role

I agree, nothing will replace Squadron Hawk and nothing should.
It was a 2 cost +3 in terms of card advantage that gave you fliers that were beatsticks with swords or Batterskull thrown into the mix. Broken.
Cawblade will die me thinks. Timely Reinforcements is honestly the closest thing you will get and it's a far cry from the birds.
Ponder does do a good imitation of Preordain if that's what you are looking for.

Don'd underestimate Ponder just because it doesn't say Scry. It's a powerful deck manipulation card, and I know a number of people who actually think it's better than Preordain .
I know people who feel the other way around as well, of course, but the point is they're both very strong.

for me: ponder digs deeper. and allows me to arrange or shuffle.
that's all i need to know what side of the line i stand on. :)

Preordain gives you more control, ponder gives you more dig.
Honestly, either do about the same thing, it just depends if you want to use a fork to pick and choose, or a spoon to scoop up a bunch at a time to eat your macaroni.

that's a great analogy. I'm a spooner. Which i believe sits right in line.

Depends on your deck. It it's cheap artifact heavy he's pretty solid.

I value [Ponder] quite highly, it's the base of any blue deck I play. A one drop that grants 4 seperate effects is a plus in my book.
