Hello everyone, i gave a lot of effort on this deck and wanted to share with you and share the tech behind the deck: deck:my-fnm-progenitus ! =)

MY FNM Progenitus DECK

With 4 proxy limit= Natural order , My friends thought the deck looked like Pod decks where all the creatures are one-of s. Well i thought it was a good idea to do like this, since i can both fetch my creatures and play them ignoring their color.

DECK TECH:

BIG Creatures:

  1. Blazing ArchonMTG Card: Blazing Archon : This card does really good jobs when i get Concordant CrossroadsMTG Card: Concordant Crossroads on the table, so it seriously benefits me. Plus, it proves to be a good stall against aggro decks if i failed to grab my Elesh Norn, Grand CenobiteMTG Card: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite.
  2. Blightsteel ColossusMTG Card: Blightsteel Colossus is just a bomb again, synced with Concordant CrossroadsMTG Card: Concordant Crossroads, that my opponents think that "Oh, i have 14 life left from Woodfall PrimusMTG Card: Woodfall Primus i have plenty of time lets leave 1 blocker behind.." and BAM! you're dead. Oh and, uhm, whispers he is indestructible.
  3. Elesh Norn, Grand CenobiteMTG Card: Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is another card against aggro decks which is a bad match-up against us. Plus, if we get some way stuck on damage, think, those elves? All swinging for 3-4 damage individually, each turn. Very low chance potential win condition.
  4. Empyrial ArchangelMTG Card: Empyrial Archangel is a 2-of as you might already saw. It is an answer to whole a lot of decks, you cant even imagine. So to increase its abundance in draws by a factor 2, that card is joining us as 2 copies against 1 copies of each other creatures. Kind of stressed against deathtouch creatures tho.
  5. Emrakul, the Aeons TornMTG Card: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, i will just say: Concordant CrossroadsMTG Card: Concordant Crossroads. Huh.? Clapping Sound, oh thank you very much indeed. No further comments. (Note: Pray your opponent won't be using o-rings against your Emrakul here.)
  6. ProgenitusMTG Card: Progenitus is self explanatory. (I hate other people when they use this phrase in their descriptions.)
  7. Woodfall PrimusMTG Card: Woodfall Primus is too good for 2 reasons: 14.a It is a green creature so it is a viable target for both of my instant-sorcery creature put-ups, for its effect. 14.b When Primus is on the battlefield, even if i cant establish a green creature to sacrifice for Natural OrderMTG Card: Natural Order, Primus is a good target since he has persist so I get 3 for one, a new Primus, another non-creature permanent destroyed and a brand new ProgenitusMTG Card: Progenitus .
ACCELERATION
  1. Devoted DruidMTG Card: Devoted Druid, Llanowar ElvesMTG Card: Llanowar Elves accelerator package is here for 2nd turn Game PreserveMTG Card: Game Preserve, 3rd turn Natural OrderMTG Card: Natural Order or Dramatic EntranceMTG Card: Dramatic Entrance. And another side of them is to actually give Natural OrderMTG Card: Natural Ordersome creatures to eat.

TUTORING

  1. Fauna ShamanMTG Card: Fauna Shaman and Worldly TutorMTG Card: Worldly Tutor have both same jobs but different applications. They both fetch up creatures BUT i use these two in 2 different situations: 9.a With Fauna ShamanMTG Card: Fauna Shaman, i use her with Elvish PiperMTG Card: Elvish Piper of course. it's a shock on my opponents when i go like: Fauna ShamanMTG Card: Fauna Shaman , Discard Elves, Get ProgenitusMTG Card: Progenitus , Elvish PiperMTG Card: Elvish Piper , Block. =) 9.b With Worldly TutorMTG Card: Worldly Tutor, i use him with Game PreserveMTG Card: Game Preserve. When i feel he will draw a non-land, like when he repeatedly dropped lands and whined about no non-lands and stuff i just fetch a good creature on my library in my upkeep, and watch and pray for miracles. When it works, it is GG.

CORE

  1. Dramatic EntranceMTG Card: Dramatic Entrance and Natural OrderMTG Card: Natural Orderare our core cards. They serve the great work of putting giant creatures on the battlefield. These can get much threatening for my opponent under a certain condition which i will cover later on in the description. Another main card doing the same job but slightly better by putting a creature card on the battlefield regardless of its colours: Elvish PiperMTG Card: Elvish Piper. Very good card indeed.

UTILITY

  1. Concordant CrossroadsMTG Card: Concordant Crossroads is a good enchantment overall explained with creatures above. The reason it is a one-of is because it can prove to be a great downside for me if I fail to assemble my stalling or creating a situation that they can't attack even with the haste. So it is here for surprises and game winning.
  2. Dryad ArborMTG Card: Dryad Arbor singleton of this was necessary for 2 main reasons: 11.a You can fetch it with both Fauna ShamanMTG Card: Fauna Shaman and Worldly TutorMTG Card: Worldly Tutor in case of a mana screw. 11.b It is a viable sacrifice target for natural order if needed desperately.
  3. Game PreserveMTG Card: Game Preserve is an alternate way of getting monsters onto the battlefield. They do not need to be the huge ones, which are creating 1-3rd of the creature base, any other creature went onto the battlefield make me dig my library 1 more. And sometimes, when an Emrakul lands, you just look at the deck and smile, and swing for the win.
  4. Steely ResolveMTG Card: Steely Resolve is another 1-of which serves as a barrier for my elves. You probably noticed that my piper has only 1 toughness for 4, which makes it very volatile. So in order to shield her, this card is very useful. Oh , and btw you don't always have to say elves here, you may want to protect your Elesh Norn against Path to ExileMTG Card: Path to Exile, so you just call "Praetor" and watch your opponents drool.

  5. Piper's MelodyMTG Card: Piper's Melody is your late game answer for wrath effects, which none of my games did go that long. Still , an effective one-of in the deck.

  6. Mosswort BridgeMTG Card: Mosswort Bridge is just a good land with uber-abilities for our cause.

  7. And now, it is the BOMB. Painter's ServantMTG Card: Painter's Servant was a good addition for this deck, making it a viable deck which can fetch any creature on the battlefield regardless of its' colors when you call green when it enters the battlefield. I don't know you, but i LOVED the idea. =)

SIDEBOARDING:

Very straight-forward actually, Vexing ShusherMTG Card: Vexing Shusher and Summoning TrapMTG Card: Summoning Trap against control, Inkwell LeviathanMTG Card: Inkwell Leviathan against removal, Feldon's CaneMTG Card: Feldon's Cane against where you think it fits, Krosan GripMTG Card: Krosan Grip against any king of enchantment shenanigans, and Phage the UntouchableMTG Card: Phage the Untouchable for some laughs. You MUST playtest this =D

Moli, Moli, Moli, Moli is a fun deck =)
