Pyromancer's Gauntlet in Standard

That's right, Pyromancer's Gauntlet . I've been trying to make a deck that can use this card to good effect. My first attempt has been my favorite thus far: T3h Burnz0rz.
I have been playing it differently than most burn decks should be played. I play with more of a control style, responding to enemy threats and keeping their board empty. Once turn 5 comes around, Pyromancer's Gauntlet increases the output of burn spells and Chandra, Pyromaster 's +1, making victory pretty easy to attain.
My issue is that if I am unable to get Pyromancer's Gauntlet out on turn 5, the deck seems to lose momentum and fizzle out. I've tried adding other 5-drops like Stormbreath Dragon but with little success. Is building a deck around this card a hopeless endeavor? I would prefer not to add another color to the deck, which is the real challenge here. I toyed around with adding blue for counters and Ral Zarek but did not like how it played. Any suggestions?

I don't like Fated Conflagration as it cannot target players. If it could target players than I would put 4 in the deck immediately... and it wouldn't be a bulk rare, lol. I'll side it in against certain decks, but normally a single Lightning Strike and 1-2 Satyr Firedancer s is all I need for targeted removal.

An you're right.
Well, you could try Punish the Enemy , Burning Earth , or Pinnacle of Rage ? They're all sort of mediocre cards, but would sort of fit in the deck.
You could also try the cliche Young Pyromancer , to give all your spells a slight extra punch. I figure most of your creatures will just get Doom Blade ed on sight, so I would think getting lots of utility while its out would be imperative.

hey i made this deck with the same idea Izzet Gauntlet
let me tell you something while this deck avoids running out of gas due to its blue slash that is there for card draw, it also keeps the board clean most of the time, but i noticed it lacks of a bomb or game ender....Guttersnipe its just not enough, i stopped testing it but i would recommens if you have Chandra, Pyromaster use 2-3 copies also you may add some Spellheart Chimera also cup be some good options i also been thinking of Hypersonic Dragon but will be up to you if you have Stormbreath Dragon there

I love Burning Earth as a sideboard card. Pinnacle of Rage and Punish the Enemy could be interesting cards to top my curve with. They certainly are usable with Pyromancer's Gauntlet .
I considered adding blue for card draw but I found the deck going towards a completely different direction. Chandra, Pyromaster gives me enough cards imo.

So you can play this card is necessary you to survive the First. 5 turns with some kind of control without running out of gas and hanving enough to kill your opponent either with creatures or with spells
I saw a w/r burn with Chained to the Rocks and Warleader's Helix yesterday an worked pretty well against a rakdos aggro even with 4 lands in hand

I could certainly splash in some white for Chained to the Rocks , Warleader's Helix , and Boros Charm . Boros Charm is a very efficient burn spell and Warleader's Helix can give some much needed life gain.
Replacing 8 mountains with 4 Sacred Foundry and 4 Temple of Triumph isn't a bad idea... I'll look in to this.

Looking better Gorgosaurusrex even thou i like the Guttersnipe and is a creature thst has a lot of synergy i saw on the w/r burn. 4 copies of Chandra's Phoenix and last longer sinnce is a recurrent creature on this deck, think about it and test it if you like after all creatures have died it will keep comming back

If I can build a deck around goblin test pilot, you can build a deck around pyromancer's gauntlet. Standard competitive goblin test pilot
I would almost just recommend Lava Axe . Maybe just one or two, as a fallback for not getting the gauntlet.
Oh wait! Yeah Fated Conflagration would be even better. Have you tried using it?
