if i attack with a Wild Beastmaster and want to use Biomass Mutation at what point do i cast it to get the fullest effect? Before declaring attackers? After declaring attack but before triggers?

you would have to do it before declaring Wild Beastmaster as an attacker. otherwise if you respond the trigger has already happened and it's too late

That's not entirely true.

Wild Beastmaster 's effect triggers as soon as you declare the attack. At that point, the trigger goes on the stack. You creatures get the bonus as soon as that trigger resolves.

The catch is, the trigger checks how big Wild Beastmaster is upon resolution, so you have until the trigger starts to resolve to cast your combat trick. Once her trigger starts to resolve, there's nothing you can do until it's done.

Note that this all happens before your opponent has a chance to declare blockers. If your opponent is smart, they'll probably also wait for the trigger to resolve before playing any combat tricks of their own.

You can do it any time before Wild Beastmaster 's trigger resolves. Bellock86 is incorrect in that regard, because you can attack with Wild Beastmaster , triggering its ability, then you can cast Biomass Mutation with it on the stack to gain its benefit for the trigger.

I keep foegetting that you can respond to your own attack trigger effect. It's damage that doesn't use the stack. My bad
