Quick question: Is this even legal?

I just made a flicker deck deck:creature-steal-creal based on the idea that I can permanently steal creatures from an opponent. Using Zealous Conscripts or Mark of Mutiny I can make a creature mine until end of turn. Then, before the end of my turn I flicker it with Cloudshift or card:Conjurer's Closet to in order to control it permanently.
I was under the imperssion that the Cloudshift would resolve on top of the stack and remove the creature as a target of the previous spell, thus making it mine. Or am I wrong?

Whenever a card leaves the battlefield and then returns, it is treated as an entirely new permanent. If you gain control of a creature using Zealous Conscripts or another spell/ability and then Cloudshift or otherwise blink the creature, it will come back to your control (assuming the blink effect specifies "your control" and not "owner's control") and no longer be subject to the restrictions of whatever effect caused you to gain control of it.

What about Koth of the Hammer plus 1 ability. Can you flicker the mountain to remove the 'until end of turn' and keep it as a 4/4 creature that's still a land?

No. When the Mountain returns to the battlefield, it will no longer be a creature. It reenters the battlefield as exactly what the card says, which means it's no longer animated.

yes once a creature is exiled it is treated as a new creature thus removing all counters blah blah pretty much if you use it you would take control of there creature
