Rafiq or Trostani

So, should I run Rafiq of the Many as my general and play WUG exalted population or run card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice as my general and play WG exatled population? I only have one Sublime Archangel which is why I am asking this question. I think either would work really well as a general and I think that both of their abilities have advantages but I am inclined to skip the blue and be able to use card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice's ability more often as she would be the general. What does everyone think? And, what seem to be the results of each as a general? Keep in mind that I am looking to take advantage of populate and exalted at the same time. Thank you.

if you're going to play exalted go with rafiq. and if youre playing EDH you only are allowed one of each card so having only one archangel wont matter.

I think he means "I only have one Sublime Archangel ." as "I would build both but I've only got one Sublime Archangel ."

What I meant by that statement is that I only have one Angel so I can't build two separate decks.

I think Exalted+Populate doesn't really capture the essence of either. One is all about one single creature, and the other is about a ton of creatures. Granted Sublime Archangel with a bunch of tokens is pretty nasty, but that's just one card.

i run Treva, the Renewer in a life gain, exalted deck and its pretty awesome :-) you will find that rafiq will get absolutely hated on cuz lets face it, hes epic! So if you don't want to get hated on I would run a different bant general or run some control. Treva works great and life gain is a suprisingly good alternate win condition in EDH, I never thought it would work so well. If you want populate then run Rith, the Awakener lol :-P tokens in EDH NEED haste as one turn, a token army appeared the next turn a wrath has happened and the token army is spent. Reason i say add red is for Fervor , Anger , In the Web of War and Fires of Yavimaya . I have said Rith, the Awakener token EDH deck and it too works great. Funny coincidence that I have pretty much have both decks you are discussing here I have my only sublime inbound finally for my treva deck too. If you would like any more advice or want to chat about either deck please hit me up :-) they are both present on my deck lists and are both exactly as represented IRL barring the sublime angel that hasn't arrived yet and so hasn't been added to the list in treva. Hope this helps a little mate.

Cackling Counterpart plus populate is pretty good. Just saying.
