Ral Zarek

So I pulled Ral Zarek , AEtherling , and Melek, Izzet Paragon today. I want to use them and I want to know where they fit. I'm thinking BANThem Call for the AEtherling and Reckoner Flash Hybrid for Ral Zarek (though AEtherling may be good there as well). What Melek, Izzet Paragon , though? I love his ability, but does his cmc make him useless? I feel like I would want him turn 4, but not later becasue he could be stoppping me from dropping a better late game card. Help appreciated!
