R/B/U card damage, (U)Splash worth it?

I recently made this deck:
Originally I didn't have the blue splash and instead opted for megrim and a few redundant creatures like necrotic ooze. I'm thinking of changing the deck a bit and adding in the blue splash to incorporate Psychic Vortex Nin, the Pain Artist and Nekusar, the Mindrazer . Does the blue splash help with the redundancy issue? Or does it just make the mana curve too slow?

Edit: Okay the mana curve IS a problem. Any fix suggestions?
