Red burn?

so i just started playing standard again an wondering what some good red burn spells all the ones ive found suck bow i miss the days of lighting-bolt so let me know im trying to improve my mono red vamp deck with more burn

Red wins mostly through quick creatures accompanied by burn spells nowadays. Goblins are typically the creatures of choice for RDW in Standard at the moment.

ive played a similar red burn burn vamp deck to the one im trying to build and it took first out of 60 ppl at an fmn at the moose cave in az so i beg to differ heres the start of my idea for the deck deck:vampburn

the reason vamps are better than goblins is the abilty to grow over time and every mono red deck on starcity top 3 has Stromkirk Nobles and alot have Bloodcrazed Neonates and few have goblins and none have all goblins and that wasnt my question my question was for red burn spells not creatures

for some Burn in standard' i always think bout Brimstone Volley...perfect for all the morbid play action these' days...especially during standard 2HG matches'

Standard and good burn don't really go hand in hand now. Burn spells in today's standard are more used as utility cards than actual burn in my opinion. For instance Gut Shot
can be used to active Stormblood Berserker
, get Chandra's Phoenix
back from the grave yard or kill pesky weenies all for free. It's not a good burn spell per se but it's an awesome utility card.
For red vamps your best friend would probably be Volt Charge
for a solid amount of damage and proliferating the counters on your vamps at instant speed. Brimstone Volley
is also pretty solid, It's won me several games when they kill my attacking creature and get blasted for 5 anyway.
