Red/Green versus Blue

Deck Help forum

Hello everybody,

My friend mainly plays blue decks and I'm building a deck specifically to counter many of the strategies he uses. I'd like some general feedback on how to improve the deck, but I am specifically also looking for advise on how to make the deck more effective against common blue strategies.

Thanks you!

This is the deck I'm building: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/redgreen-anti-enchantment-counter-deck/

Not sure how much of a jerk you wish to be, but if you want to take it to the extreme...Pyroblast , Active Volcano , Tsunami , Monsoon , Choke , Red Elemental Blast

Mistcutter Hydra , and many uncounterable creatures in green too.

What blue strategies? Counters? Or is it the mono devotion aggro thats the problem?

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't want to use Protection from Blue or tapping islands etc, as that would seem a bit cheap.

The main problem seems to be countering and he uses a lot of deck searching cards, such as cards with Transmute. Anything I can do about that?

Dosan the Falling Leaf is nice. Cavern of Souls , Boseiju, Who Shelters All stuff like that helps too.

I would go for some of the ones I posted before. He is making you adjust to his deck, make him adjust to yours. That is the fun part of the game. They are mostly cheap, so at least you can just play them once in a while to keep him on his toes.
