Refining Sublime Knights

Deck Help forum

Hi guys, I'm looking to refine my Sublime Knights deck.

I think I'm leaning towards removing some of the Exalted triggers by putting a couple of Vault of the Archangel in for a couple of Cathedral of War , and replacing the Aven Squire s with Vampire Nighthawk . Although this will reduce the amount of damage I swing for, the deck hits so hard that it shouldn't be an issue, especially if I end up with more control in it.

Any recommendations for cards to replace Duty-Bound Dead with? Should it be a 1 drop creature, or a few non-creature spells to hold up the opponent in case I get a slow start?

Obviously, any suggestions are appreciated!

Personally, I like Shadow Alley Denizen with Exalted. Since attacking with one creature is going to be common, it's nice to give evasion. (can't give it to the Knight of Glory , unfortunately... but any others)

Though with only 9 Black creatures, I'm not certain it's the best option.

If you are making an exalted deck, you probably don't want to be removing any of your exalted cards. Aven Squire is a good one to have around.

However, I don't think you need 4x Cathedral of War . I wouldn't go more than 2, MAYBE 3: if you go more than that, they will be slowing you down when you need colored mana.

Thanks guys, the deck is already built, and has won me my last 2 FNM's (a small affair in my town, only 15 or so guys), so it's doing a good job, but I really want to just put it beyond reach. It's not unusual to be swinging for 4 or 5 on turn 3 (or double that if i play a Silverblade Paladin ), and turns 4 and 5 usually seal the deal, even without Sublime Archangel showing up and ruining opponents' day. I guess what I'm saying is, the reason I'm looking to take out a couple of triggers is to make the deck a little more rounded and solid defensively, as I feel like I can sacrifice a little damage output and still punch them hard. Are there other control type B or W cards that pop into mind?
