Replacements for Thragtusk

So the deck here deck:esper-green is what I have been playing with the past few fnms. I have had pretty good results with it (making top 4 of all of the fnms) but I have had several problems with the deck. One of the biggest problems is that the deck just isnt that consistent. I am taking it to a big tourney this weekend for 1000$ at my lgs and I want to make it just Esper (U/W/B) in order to make it more consistent. the only green cards in the deck are the 3 Thragtusk s. What should I replace them with?

I can see two plans here, depending on projected meta and desired strategy:

1) Round off Unburial Rites and some animation targets. (Griselbrand !)

2) Add some mix of Jace, Architect of Thought and Entreat the Angels , and/or Think Twice .

If you want a card that drops a lot of presence, try captain of the watch. It's more of a stronger timely reinforcement, but its more defensive.

card:Sphinx's Revelation is a solid option, you could run 1 or 2 in the main.

Add in 2x unburial rites and 1x griselbrand.

Griselbrand's board presence is obscene. He beats angel of serenity imo. If someone decides to Dreadbore your griselbrand, you can still respond with paying 7 life and drawing 7 cards. It's hard to beat a 7/7 flyer who has lifelink and gives you one of the most broken uses for life ever. If someone throws an angel of serenity out there, you can dreadbore it or whatever and then you get your griselbrand back to your hand, giving you the option to hard cast or rites it again. As a matter of fact I just played a game where it essentially griselbrand vs. angel of serenity and griselbrand won in the end, but it was a long drawn out game.

Sphinx's revelation is another good option.

Thanks for all the input! So far it seems the general consensus is that Griselbrand needs at least 2-3 slots in the deck. However you may be sad to hear that I took your advice and did horrible saturday. I went 5-2-1 in swiss losing both matches to none other than Jund zombies and R/B zombies. Griselbrand was just to slow of an option for me because they had removal for my early Knight of Glory s. After barely making it into top 16, I was decimated by a selesnya midrange deck that focused on Resto angel and cards like thragtusk and armada wurm. After going home that night in defeat, I looked over some reanimator decks from the recent scg opens. I noticed something that my deck was missing. All of those decks had some form of creature that just clogged up the board against all of those decks and bought time for them to reach their targets. Lingering souls is nice but doesn't really buy you more than a turn or 2 against the aggresive decks.. I did some playing around on cockatrice and came to the conclusion that Vampire Nighthawk is needed in the deck. it is a 2/3 flier that has deathtouch AND lifelink. That is stupidly powerful because it comes down on turn 3 and blocks any of your opponents threats. Oh and did I mention it gains you life? Vampire Nighthawk is something that I believe I want to see multiples of early on so I put an entire playset of them in the deck. So far the results have been very good. Another addition ive made was adding Vault of the Archangel for the late game against midrange, control decks. And Cavern of Souls against the control mirror. The new decklist is here Esper Reanimator check it out and tell me what you think!!
