I have a deck..
Mono Green Devotion Playtest
Modern*
SCORE: 0 | 0 COMMENTS | 1938 VIEWSI need help deciding what to do with the cards Reverent Huntet and Rubblebelt Raiders . I need help deciding which is better in this deck. I have lots of people suggesting I use Reverent Hunter because it combos well with Burning-Tree Emissary .
If anyone could please recommend me one or the other, and also explain WHY it works better in my deck. Thank you for taking the time to look at this!

I would agree with Reverent Hunter because of the amount of green devotion you have, when it enters the field you could get a large creature quick, with the extra mana available you could buff up another creature you control (defend yourself if needed)
compared to Rubblebelt Raiders , it would take a bit longer to build up

I ran 2 Reverent Hunter in my G/U Devotion deck. They are better than Rubblebelt Raiders in defence and offence, easier to cast and it can be bigger than Raiders.

I would do Reverent Hunter because its faster and can get a lot of counters very quickly without having to attack with other creatures to make it bigger.

I would opt out of both, and run Voyaging Satyr . I play a b/g list and those are definitely all stars. But if you're dead set on those too, reverent hunter seems the better because you can go - turn 1:mystic into turn 2: burning-tree, nyx, reverent hunter.
on that note, you might want to get some stronger 3 drops to abuse that. Boon Satyr , Courser of Kruphix , Witchstalker . and worldspine is hilarious, but you might want to consider Sylvan Primordial or Kalonian Hydra

Well it depends with the Kalionan hydra route rubblebelt would get bigger but I can say reverent is better

I'd like to see how it behaves against monsters, but with monoblack and u/w/x control I don't think the rubblebelt is doing too much. if it were a 3 drop it would be brilliant, but I think 4 is just a little too steep.
