Hey, I've been away from magic for too long, and I have come back wanting to play what I used to: tempo. Gone are the days of Repeal and Coiling Oracle , but I wanted to make a deck that plays similarly.

A primer goes along with the deck, explaining some of the card choices, playstyle, etc. However, I'll include a decklist here just in case.

G/U Tempo!

Creature4x Birds of Paradise 4x Llanowar Elves 4x Viridian Emissary 4x Solemn Simulacrum 4x Acidic Slime 2x Thrun, the Last Troll 3x Wurmcoil Engine

Sorcery4x Rampant Growth 4x Vivisection 3x Mindculling

Instant4x Quicksilver Geyser

Land14x Forest7x island

Thanks for taking the time to look and thanks in advance for leaving some feedback here on under the deck on the deckpage.

For anyone reading here, I'm sorry that the formatting turned out like that! It didn't register most of the returns ><.

what exactly is the deck type, "Tempo"? could you explain a little bit what you do with such a deck?

The goal with Tempo is to have as many of your plays generate CA. Some of the spells played are classically less efficient, i.e. Mindculling and Quicksilver Geyser but with the ramp, land tutor and draw that is played, one can play spells that have huge effects on the board.

So a good game would be:

Turn 1: Birds of Paradise or Llanowar Elves

Turn 2: Viridian Emissary or Rampant Growth

Turn 3: Quicksilver Geyser lifting most of their board. Next turn follow with Mindculling or Wurmcoil Engine to further the advantage.
