Is it possible to revive a once Top 8 T2 Standard deck after it lost a part of it power from a rotation? What do you guys think, is it possible?
I was thinking right now in standard about allies bc I haven't run into any ally decks at all. but i mean in general as well I've only played a year of Magic, so I go back to m10 with alara then the zendikar, worldwake, rotc and now som

All you get to add is mimic vat, but they are still just a T2 deck

I want to see Jund make a return to the top ranks of standard, now the deck might require some thought to build

Then is it possible to revive one of the tri color decks from alara? or could they only be bant, naya, or jund b/c of green ramp, not esper or grixis?

WIth all the different Dual lands available from Zendikar, M11, SOM a lot of tri color decks are possible. Take Grixis for example. Take the Blue Black Dual Lands that can produce preordain and duress on the first turn. With the Scalding Tarn fetchland makes blue and red available. Mix that with Creeping tar Pit and you get a deck full of board sweeping, spot removal, counter spells, and finishers anywhere from Frost Titan, Grave Titan, to Jace the Mind Sculptor. Just start with the mana and see what spells that mana gives you access to.

Also take into consideration that with allies, espicially anything that works with counters, you could look into stuff that could help you proliferate...
Just a random suggestive thought for allies.
Though I know there is a black/white allies deck in the works atm... you may wanna look into it and see what it could possibly do for you :)
PS: Mimic Vat is insane in an allies deck of this type. Espicially for Agadeem Occultist or Bala Ged Thief . Hope this gives some thoughts for brewing.
