Here's My list for a burning vengeance deck:

Land:(22)2 Evolving Wilds4 Sulfur Falls8 Island8 Mountain

Spells:(38)4 Burning Vengeance3 Secrets of the Dead3 Ponder3 Shock4 Geistflame4 Mana Leak4 Desperate Ravings4 Think Twice2 Dissipate2 Devil's Play3 Whipflare2 Slagstorm

Creatures (0)

Sideboard:1 Evolving Wilds1 Forest2 Phantasmal Image3 Flashfreeze4 Ancient Grudge4 Chandra's Phoenix

Basically, the deck itself is very straghtforward. As for the sideboard, Thrun can really give the deck some fits, so that is where the image comes in, as well as to trade with the titans in the wolfrun matchup. The Chandra's Phoenix was more of a call for game 2 and 3. It's an amazing card in the deck, and should probably be maindeck. However, the best thing to do here is that, most people will side out all of their removal after the first game, as when you have the best card advantage in the format and they are drawing dead cards, something has to change, and then you bring in even more card advantage in the phoenix. Ancient Grudge is an interesting choice, instead of shatter. I felt that it had much more synergy, and you need to be able to have a playset of an answer to the cage.

I'm the biggest fan of Evolving WildsMTG Card: Evolving Wilds but get them out of your deck, you are slowing down your own strategy, replace with one each additional basic land.

As to helping your theme further have you thought of any Blue flashback? Something to get rid stuff with no flashback?

Your Sideboard is odd, you could also Mainboard 4xChandra's PhoenixMTG Card: Chandra's Phoenixs.

Yeah, the Evolving WildsMTG Card: Evolving Wilds are good with ponder though, and setting up the forest, but I could see them coming out. PonderMTG Card: Ponder really helps me set up my enchantments, but I could replace four island with four Drowned CatacombMTG Card: Drowned Catacomb and play Forbidden AlchemyMTG Card: Forbidden Alchemy instead. The sideboard is to side in the Phoenixes after they side out their removal, and Phantasmal ImageMTG Card: Phantasmal Image for Thrun, the Last Troll MTG Card: Thrun, the Last Troll , and the Evolving WildsMTG Card: Evolving Wilds and one forest to play Ancient GrudgeMTG Card: Ancient Grudge, which, if it can work, is infinitely better than ShatterMTG Card: Shatter, especially in my deck.

I see Desperate RavingsMTG Card: Desperate Ravings, but why you no Faithless LootingMTG Card: Faithless Looting? It would be the first card I would consider!
