Maybe I you're splashing white and going Reanimator, forego heartless and run Lingering Souls . Tokens are nice to turn into dragons

the issue is it already has to be R/U/B. splashing another color is difficult. I'm trying to splash green with Burning-Tree Emissary mostly to cast Dragon Broodmother . The token production I have at the moment is Goblins alongside Goblin Chieftain and Voracious Dragon

That also opens up the potential to toss in a Gisela, Blade of Goldnight as a damage doubler for Sarkhan's ultimate.

Slumbering Dragon hopefully will slow down the fast format

Goblins are a nice token producing group too, Voracious Dragon packs some punch and Dragon Broodmother has always been silly. I forget not everyone has all the Zendikar fetches, I was lucky to be playing during Zendikar so I have that. Thank you wizards for reprinting shock lands.

yeah I think ill splash white instead of green. idk about Gisela, Blade of Goldnight , but devour kind of works against what i'm trying to do.

Ooh yes, Slumbering Dragon is awesome for a deck like this.

Yeah, she's kind of wasting space since she's not a dragon and her WWR makes her more difficult to hard cast. I always think "most epic situation ever" as a notorious Johnny, instead of "this is impractical most of the time..." lol

If you're still runnin gobbos, would Guttersnipe and Goblin Electromancer have any utility?
I know I've found Act of Aggression really valuable with Sarkhan, and Bazaar Trader is good too if you're really crazy lol.

what would be the best way to splash white?? its hard to mana fix without green...im adding Intangible Virtue for the tokens and Lingering Souls at least.

I'd either use a combination of shocklands and fetches (expensive,) or Chromatic Lantern which I guess isn't that cheap right now either but fixes your mana nicely. If you end up running the lantern I'd suggest taking a long look at Moonveil Dragon . It's awesome with tokens

its just gets too mana expensive. its got to be fast to be in modern and Moonveil Dragon is even too slow for standard.

Yeah, again I'm thinking heartless but I've kind of been trying to make it useful everywhere...pet card. That'd be your alpha strike ftw, but easily interrupted to back fire.
Ummm...what about the blue anthem that effects flyers instead of tokens. Then you could use Squadron Hawk s

would it be smart to splash green and white?? mainly by running Birds of Paradise ??

Yeah that's the one. The thing about splashing for mana dorks is you're setting yourself up to have to play them turn one. Not bad if you have the land base for them, because BoP is really powerful, but you don't want to spread yourself too thin.

Sarkan's Dragonshift I opened up the deck so you can see where i'm at. playtesting with BoP

I like how juicy eating a whole bunch of goblins with Voracious Dragon is. A nice epic alternate win-con.

Faithless Looting , Heartless Summoning and Reanimator?
I know heartless makes all the dragons smaller, so you get less bang for your buck out of sarkhan, but then you can end up swinging with some fatties quite early. (think Utvara Hellkite ) This build doesn't necessarily need heartless but it makes your fatties castable. The formats too fast to have huge dragons sitting in hand.
Grixis with a splash of white for the flashback on Unburial Rites .
