SCG Open in Burnsville MN!

Deck Help forum

I am hopefully attending an SCG Open Tournament this weekend, Saturday the 15th, in Burnsville, MN! The format is standard, $25, and starts at 9 am.

Is anyone planning on attending this event?

If I am able to attend, I would be using my mono blackish deck, but would like any ideas on how to make it better.

Are you going to be cracking Ice Age boosters while you're there?

Stale, not much variety. It's all mono-black, mono-blue, or U/W/x control.

It should play well though. It seems to be a pretty reasonable deck.

I would like to see the sideboard different though. Work against the control a little more. It seems that your sideboard is dealing with things that your mainboard does alright with. Maybe add 1 or 2 forest.

I agree with the sideboard comment, it does great vs G/W and Black but nothing vs tri color control decks, gold Midrange cards or Monoblue devotion, 3-4x Duress and 2x Golgari Charm in sideboard might go a long way for you and perhaps a couple Putrefy

I would switch Doom Blade for Bile Blight and Devour Flesh . Both of those are much better in a format where monoblack is one of the best decks.
