Search the City + Relentless Rats

Deck Help forum

I was considering making a deck that abuses Search the City and Relentless Rats .

I don't know any other cards that can abuse this, so I thought of running mill in the available space, purely because it would fit the colours. I really don't want to do this because that's like putting Tokens and Control in the same deck. They're completely unrelated win conditions.

Then I thought about sticking to the theme of having multiple turns before your opponent gets one (i.e. Temporal Mastery ), but they generally have very high mana costs and wouldn't be good to base the deck around.

So I'm back to my original problem; "What should I do with the available space in my deck?". If anyone has any ideas, I would be very happy to hear them.

Thanks all.

You could fill up that extra space with Relentless Rats .

Wait... did you just say it's like putting tokens and control in the same deck... you are aware that one of the current popular winconditions for competitive control decks is a token making spell right? And control decks have also used tokens to win in the past as well.

4 temporal mastery and several deck manipulation spells Second Sight , Index etc... or just run flashback spells so the spells you Search the City 'ed are twice as likely to resolve when they're needed. Or run a bunch of transmute spells so you can search your library for the cards you need... think stuff like Perplex and Dimir Machinations
