Hey all im running a green white deck this weekend for a ptq in philadelphia. Its a pretty solid deck. But my biggest problem is mono black. Any one have any ideas on a better way to play against mono blackhere is my deck list if you wanna check it out.

You could play Witchstalker . Ignores their targeted removal, punishes them for casting things on your turn, and can block most of their things especially when you play an Unflinching Courage on it. Skylasher could be good against Nightveil Specter and can be used to chump a Desecration Demon . Rootborn Defenses could be good to help against removal and/or unfavorable blocks. I don't have much experience playing against it however.

Zurnic spells like devour flesh take care of witchstalker and I am trying arbor colossus against the demon but most decks I been playing are very heavy in removalMaliciousMac I was thinking about adding more populate spells to kind of overrun them. But that is typically I whole different type of selesnya

Witchstalker does avoid 90% of their destroy spells though. And you can choose which creature to sack. Just a suggestion. Like I said I've not got a lot of experience against it.

MaliciousMac Just to clarify, how many counters are you popping Ratchet Bomb off at?

Glad you know the answer. I argued with a L2 the other night because he thought that they were 0 drops just because they were tokens.
Had to remind him that a token "COPY" has a CMC of the copied thing.

I know, I used that as an example and I have my own devotion deck lol.

Ratchet Bomb or Pithing Needle can help against Pack Rat or Underworld Connections . Selesnya Charm is a decent answer for Desecration Demon . It may not be your deck, but your strategy. Figure how you play against mono black. Yes, they have removal spells. But they only have so many. They'll run out eventually. I've been playing mono blue devotion, and had the same problem against mono black. You just have to overrun them with constant threats.
