Simic Deck w/ either W or B

Okay, so I am looking at building a simic deck and splashing either white or black into it to strengthen, but I am torn as to which way to go.
I am looking at optimizing Vorel of the Hull Clade , Master Biomancer , Progenitor Mimic , but I'm just not sure where I want to go with it. I have stuff that would build an awesome splash either way such as Champion of the Parish and Invisible Stalker . But I also have Varolz, the Scar-Striped and Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker if I splash black.
opinions, ideas?
Have you considered one of the many Bant variants (Prime Speaker Bant, Wolfrun Bant, Bant Auras, etc.) in Standard right now?

@ MisterRoach - have you played with this setup at all? How did it work out if so?
@ sylvannos - I don't really pay attention to major decks that are played, as most of them cost upwards of $250-$300 to run and I'm just not that big into running something super expensive like that.
if either of you would like to see my start tho, here's what I've slapped together as stuff I like, it will inevitably change, but its a place to start before I lose my thoughts.

I personally would go with splashing black. The Vorel/Varolz team-up is quite nice.
