very new to magic and am looking for some advice. I dont have many cards and am only playing with friends nothing too competitive. I just got my first and only snapcaster mage and I am pretty sure that i have potential with what i have put into the deck so far...I am making a control deck and have the following....
Creatures
1 Snapcaster Mage 4 Lantern Spirit 3 Blighted Agent 3 Invisible Stalker 1 Chained Throatseeker 5 AEther Adept 2 Sea Gate Oracle 1 Sphinx Uthuun 3 Gravedigger 3 Perilous Myr 1 Viral Drake
Enchantments
2 Claustrophobia 1 Levitation 2 Spectral Flight 2 Mind Control 1 Corrupted Conscience 1 Heartless Summoning 1 Grave Pact
Sorcery
1 Runic Repetition 3 Tezzeret's Gambit 1 Silent Departure 1 Right of Replication 2 Disentomb 1 Life's Finale
Instant
3 Mana Leak 3 Cancel 2 Negate 5 Unsummon 2 Vapor Snag 1 Frost Breath 3 Forbidden Alchemy
This looks like you're okay if you're just playing casually. Depending on how hardcore you want to get about it here's some suggestions.
rckclimber is right that you should run Dissipate over Cancel and that you can only use 4 of any one card (the 5 Unsummon s).
Typically you're going to not want to mix Infect and regular damage creatures. At least not in as even a mix as this. For example, I'd go with either Blighted Agent or Invisible Stalker . You're also sort of a mid-range deck right now. By that, I mean that you're not super controlling, nor are you a very fast aggro deck. This could be good, especially as a learning experience so you'll learn to play both aggro and control.
Good luck.

So I fixed it with what I had available, cut a lot of it and now its great. I was so in control I added a Phantasmal Image and Mirror-Mad Phantasm and milled myself. I dont have a Laboratory Maniac , but if i had one that would have been great.

To get some more feedback on this deck you might want to actually put it together on the site through the deck builder.
Off the top of my head though I'd use Dissipate
over cancel, probably a couple Think Twice
. Also you have 5 unsummons, but the card limit for any card is 4 (except basic lands).
Since you're just going with casual, I'd also look at putting in Curiosity
which is a great enchantment, possibly good for any deck to be honest.
