Standard Bant Aggro! NEED HELP!
Deck Help forum

I'm currently trying to put together a bant colored aggro build that focuses on Silverblade Paladin , Sublime Archangel , and Geist of Saint Traft . The earliest ending for the game is turn 4.
The deck name is deck:geist-and-the-gang.
I'm currently having the following problems:
- I'm unsure of how much ramp that I should have for the deck. The three cards that I'm considering are Arbor Elf , card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, and Farseek . I'm unsure on how much is needed of each for this deck type.
- Is Hinterland Harbor a viable replacement for Breeding Pool until February? Should I just try and get Breeding Pool instead? I wouldn't have the deck made until Gatecrash anyways.
- The two drop that I'm using is either going to be Invisible Stalker or Strangleroot Geist . Which would be more synergistic with this deck type? I think that Haste and Undying are very beneficial for blocking, or getting damage early game if that's needed. Hexproof and Unblockable are also very beneficial. It gives me a creature that I can buff up and easily win because of this.
- I am currently unsure if my sideboard is decent. The idea behind it is that I can easily switch to control if I'm fighting a deck that is heavy aggro. I know that I'm currently running 3x Detention Sphere s, so I'm thinking that the sideboard might be overkill. I've included miracles to switch into, because if I become more control based, then it's possible that I'll take more turns. This would lead me to have a high chance of pulling them off.
- I'm currently looking for draw spells. I was thinking of doing 3x card:Sphinx's Revelation at first, but I now see that that is too clunky. I'm considering on 2x Divination and 1x card:Sphinx's Revelation. Is Think Twice better? It seems to do less for more mana.
I'll provide critiques and +1 to a deck of your own in return!
4 It all depends on your meta, I can't comment.
5 Honestly, draw isn't really a thing for aggro. Maybe you should run Elvish Visionary . It draws a card and isn't a bad 2 drop. Also, it can be pumped w/ township and and be paired with Paladin for double strike. Unless it's on a creature, there's not really a reason to run draw in aggro.

Thanks for the insight. I updated the land base with what I thought it could use. I'm mostly going to run Breeding Pool and skip the Hinterland Harbor . Farseek will let me run pull it out if I need it, and there are other lands to add blue if need be. I think I'm going to go with Invisible Stalker for now. Against most decks, the Unblockable and Hexproof can really be a game-winner compared to haste and Undying.
At present, I have 3x card:Avacyn's Pilgrim, 2x Arbor Elf , and 3x Farseek . This gives me 8 cards total for mana fixing.
As for the draw. I understand that drawing isn't necessarily needed in aggro, but my thought is that being able to still instill control and maintain a hand advantage would benefit the deck more than going all-out aggro. I took out the 2x Divination for now, but I'm still debating on whether card-advantage is beneficial to this deck style.

- I would run a good amount of mana dorks, but don't overdo it. You don't want 10-12 or anything but 6-8 sounds fine.
- No. They aren't replacements for each other, they work in conjunction together. An example mana base (with the gatecrash available lands):
3x Hinterland Harbor3x Breeding Pool
3x Temple Garden
4x Sunpetal Grove
3x Hallowed Fountain
4x Glacial Fortress
1x Forest
1x Plains
1x Gavony Township
Of course, you can stick with 12 M10/ISD duals and 12 shocks, but I supposed you wanted to save a little life.
3 If you can cast it, Strangleroot Geist is better. However, the GG cost is quite hard to get on turn two in a tri-color deck. Since Simic is coming out in GC, you should get a couple of good two drops in the Merfolk tribal guild.
