Standard Hydra Deck Help

I'd like to make a standard Gruul deck but the problem with the last one I made was that I put all my eggs in one basket. On top of that, it was too slow.
My new deck, Feed the Hydra, focuses on mana ramp and getting Primordial Hydra or Savageborn Hydra out on the field asap. I'd use Ruric Thar, the Unbowed for anti-removal and anti-control and I'd use a combination of Yeva, Nature's Herald and Zhur-Taa Ancient to get mega mana ramping going on. Domri Rade helps me fish for hydras or mana dorks if need be.
Think it's viable/fast enough? Should I add anything else in here? I avoided putting in noncreature spells, but is that a big hindrance?
In mine, I find that Somberwald Sage helps with ramp, you put her out and you can pump that three mana into the Hydra instead of wimping it out early on as tends to happen. There's also Zhur-Taa Druid may also help you in the Gruul aspect, it's not only a dork, but when he dorks it up you can ping! I love that. I hope that helped! :)

holy crap I forgot about Somberwald. I've also already got a playset of the Druid, pro as heck.

Now I'm not sure if Gatecreeper Vine is worth playing. Tempted to throw in Wasteland Viper s and Rancor s for a deathtouch/trample combo.

I'm worried about Zhur-Taa Ancient being too risky for it's own good and that I might be better off replacing that and Yeva with Rancors or some early game attackers
