Standard Land Destruction

As usual, I've been brewing some awful decks in my head. I was thinking that in a standard with 4 color midrange, 5 color omnidoor and zombie decks trying to curve into Thundermaw Hellkite , that blowing up some lands could become a viable strategy. We've got goodies like Acidic Slime , Demolish and Bramblecrush , but it would need some way to go turbo, go infinite, or really just affect the board fast enough and heavily enough to matter. Also, land destruction is always better as a secondary or subtheme - Is there a way to play "fair magic" with Thragtusk , Huntmaster of the Fells Flip , Snapcaster Mage , etc that does other good stuff besides blow up your opponent's tenders? What about when you're facing down a card:Geralf's Messenger or Geist of Saint Traft ? Brew my little brewers, brew.
Many a Deadeye Navigator deck combines with Acidic Slime to blow up lands. Even a decent card:Conjurer's Closet deck gets the job done between Acidic Slime and Tyrant of Discord .

I suppose, but how can I break those cards? How can I survive to drop a 6cmc duder that doesn't do anything when it hits the table? Maybe make it into some kinda weird heartless summoning thing?

Just play Bant with Restoration Angel s and Thragtusk s. They all enjoy getting bounced.

I spose. Centaur healer for aggro and whatnot. We shall see, I have one more weird deck theme I'll make a thread for before I delve too deep here. Thanks for the input guys

My deck Slime? Wat r u doin? Slime! stahp! is a Bant flicker deck that loves to nuke lands with Acidic Slime and Deadeye Navigator . In addition to the land destruction, there's also Thragtusk and Fiend Hunter flicker shenanigans to gain life, get tons of 3/3 tokens, and permanently exile creatures. It's really fun to play and I even made top 8 with it once lol.

B/U decks can use Heartless Summoning and Crypt Ghast , to spped up the casting of Deadeye Navigator and "Dinrova Horror" ("When Dinrova Horror enters the battlefield, return target permanent to its owners hand, then that player discards a card.") to get rid of land... it's not 'destruction', but it's effective... can't even be prevented by Boros Charm 's indestructible ability.

I've got a deck right now that has a minor land destruction theme. I'll probably modify it later to get some better synergy going. It's pretty much just ramping into Acidic Slime and Craterize , as well as card:Krenko's Command + Arms Dealer to toss goblins at creatures. It's not the greatest deck, but it works on occasion.
Here it is in case anyone wants to build off it: Blowing Up What You Love (R/G)
