Still Holding the Line
Deck Help forum

Hey everyone,
I'm still trying to make my Hold the Line theme deck and would love some more input on what would be a flavorful addition or a competitive addition while not straying too far from the theme.
The above is the link to the original forum post I had made. As usual, any suggestions or ideas are very much appreciated.
Thank you very much for your well written post, having it all written out and with added reasoning makes a world of difference, very much appreciated!

No problem, it was fun to play around with the syntax.
Also, I forgot to mention Rolling Stones ; it's basically a Wakestone Gargoyle if most of your creatures actually have the "wall" subtype.

So, I've tossed a version together that I still need to playtest, not sure what will stay and go as of yet but this is what I've got so far: Hold the Line!
I've avoided Wakestone Gargoyle thus far but swapping around a few cards to make for another win-con is probably a good idea. Thoughts?

You should run Wakestone Gargoyle if you have ~12 defenders with power large enough (3 or higher) to make attacking a viable wincon. If most of your walls are power 2 or less, then you'd probably be better off finding alternate wincons, but I can't think of any alternates at the moment, except maybe using Gisela, Blade of Goldnight to amplify your Vent Sentinel s and card:Red Sun's Zenith 's.

I agree with comments on the previous post about it being a WR defender deck.
Some defender cards you should definitely run:

Good luck with the deck, man, seems like a cool theme.
