In case anyone didn't see/notice; the deck list for Dragon's Maze one and only Event Deck featuring the Selesnya Conclave. I am surprised and pleased to not see swagtusk (Thragtusk ) in here and the inclusion of a shock (Godless Shrine ) is pretty neat, but why not Temple Garden I wonder? I am also surprised to see a Mythic and Advent of the Wurm no less in here, I kinda thought that the Maze Runner emmara tanndris might've been in here. Thoughts? Discuss :)
I haven't seen the decklist yet, but I know Junk is huge right now, so that may warrant the Godless Shrine . Everyone has Thragtusk now, so that wouldn't really sweeten the deck for many people. Advent of the Wurm is a big deal, so that's nice, but no maze runner bc she sucks to be honest. It's a shame bc I really like her ability and the art, but it's too high a drop to ever be functional I think. See, Angel of Serenity is a huge drop/body, but her ability effects the board in a better way.
In any event, I am really hoping for a Thragtusk reprint. If not, we have sufficient creatures to pick up the slack. I like Armada Wurm here bc for the extra 1 mana we get the token with the creature and both are bigger bodies.

I don't want to see Thragtusk reprinted. I hate the card period, I won't deny it's use, but I just don't want to see it anymore, and he's pretty much everywhere and I dunno (hope not) if Wizards will reprint it. I do agree on the Emmara Tandris artwork it is amazing and a semi nice ability, but she isn't currently usable in standard yet yea, but maybe Theros/M14 will change that. I just assumed she would be since the Intro Packs all had their Champs/Maze Runners. Advent of the Wurm is a pretty crazy spell I'm glad to see it and I understand the Shrine for Black splash for Lingering Souls , I figured a Swamp or Orzhov Guildgate would do the job there. I really thought Temple Garden would be in this deck.
