Time Ebb or Voyage's End?

So? What do you guys think? While Time Ebb does put the creature on top of the controller's deck and prevent them from getting a new card that turn, Voyage's End costs less and lets you scry, but does not return it to the deck, instead to the hand.

Go Time Ebb and put Voyage's End in the sideboard. That one mana shouldn't matter too much with the format supposedly slowing down, but if you're against an aggro deck Voyage's End can disrupt the opponent more easily. Not only that, but Voyage's End also can be cast at instant speed to take out a surprise heavy hitter.

Time Ebb is a proven classic, but as acbooster pointed out Voyage's End is instant speed, and as you put it you get to scry. I don't play too many bounce spells anymore, but I used to run Time Ebb when I did.

I think it really depends on what deck you are talking about. Time Ebb is obviously more powerful, but Voyage's End is an instant and has scry 1 tacked on. I think it really depends on what you are looking for in your deck.

At first I thought whether you meant whether it would be better to play Voyage's End or Disperse , but Voyage's End is strictly better. Time Ebb is a great card for disruption, and I've been on the receiving end of the Time Ebb -Essence Scatter combo before (Spoiler Alert: it sucks).

As far as the topic. Time Ebb disrupts the rhythm of the opponent's deck, while Voyage's End helps the rhythm of your own deck. I guess it really depends on what your deck needs.

Time Ebb isn't strictly better than Disperse, as Disperse can target artifacts, enchantments and planeswalkers as well as creatures. However, both Voyage's End and Time Ebb are bad as far as standard is concerned. You're better off playing something like Azorius Charm .
