I'm a sucker for zombies, and recently ran into Grimgrin, Corpse-Born . Now the effect that says "sacrifice a creature; untap grimgrin and put a +1/+1 counter or him", i'm wondering if i can sacrifice creatures, even if he's untapped. Like sacrifice a card:Geralf's Messenger and a Gravecrawler , same turn.

GoblinsInc is correct.
Whenever a spell or ability has certain requirements (something must be tapped or untapped, it must be a certain step or phase, etc.), all of its requirements will be explicitly stated. For example, Ana Battlemage 's last ability requires the targeted creature to be untapped, so that is explicitly stated in the text of the ability.

Thank y'all very much! I appreciate the speedy response time. So if i were to have Rooftop Storm , Diregraf Captain , Grimgrin, Corpse-Born , and Gravecrawler out on the field. I can just continuously sacrifice Gravecrawler and summon him for nothing, and kill an opponent that way? (thanks to Diregraf Captain )

Thank you, too bad that combo isn't too likely.. But there's also that one vampire, Bloodthrone Vampire , that'd make the combo easier than Grimgrin, Corpse-Born . And even if you don't have Rooftop Storm , it's only 1black for each damage. Haha, a Blood Artist can help speed things along too.

Yes. There is no requirement for Grimgrin to be tapped in order to activate his ability. When the ability resolves, the untap will do nothing if he is already untapped, but he will still gain a counter.
