I recently started playing Magic and I have been trying to create a deck that I would like. I know for a fact that I want white in there, but I've had trouble deciding what else, so I'm playing around with a few different builds. Right now I would like to build a Green/White, but am having trouble with what I should have and what I shouldn't. I have a decent amount of cards; not all great, but not all terrible. If anyone can help me out that would be great.

You could make a flickering type deck. With stuff like Cloudshift , Roaring Primadox , Thragtusk , card:Conjurer's Closet and Attended Knight ..
or maybe a soulbond deck Wolfir Silverheart , Silverblade Paladin ..
A bit difficult to give advice when we don't know what cards you have, what your budget is or if you are playing casual, standard or commander :)

Pretty much what CalciferDK said. WG is pretty formidable currently.

4 Thragtusk + 4 Restoration Angel + 52 other cards = FNM-winning deck.
And you think I'm kidding.

Alright guys, well I'm going to need a little while to look through what I have and see what I would like to put in the deck. I do have/recognize a few of the cards that you have mentioned. Thanks for the help so far though. One thing that I would like explained is what is so good about the exile a creature effect. I don't understand how it is useful? Also, I was wondering if any of you lived in the New York area?

The exile effect triggers any Enters/leaves the battlefield fx: First you play Thragtusk and gain 5 life. Then you cast Cloudshift targeting the thragtusk. it leaves play and gives you a 3/3 beast token. then it enters play and gives you another 5 life.
The exile effect also unattaches equipment and destroys auras from creatures.
Cloudshift can also be used as a "removal counterspell." Say someone targets a creature of yours with a Terror you respond with cloudshift targeting the same creature. It leaves play and enters as a "new" creature. The terror can't target something that isn't there an goes to the graveyard without killing anything.

Well, just try your hand at making a deck here. Just post the decks you've been trying for starters. It's a lot easier for us to help out that way. :)
