Trying to make Red/Black Land destruction work.

Well I've been trying to get my land destruction deck working, but I'm hitting a ramp time snag. No home land... Once I get rolling I can wreck people, the issue is if they knock my mana base out, or start countering my creatures, I get sunk deep too quick. I'm avoiding going green, so any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I tried to work blue into the deck early on to mill as an additional way to burn land, but working in things like Duress , Corpse Traders , and Mind Rot will be more effective stopping other players from ramping up before I get set up. Thanks man, was some helpful advice.

add green and ramp... plus acidic slime.... i would like to attempt a land destro deck and if i do, it will def be gr,bl,rd... ramp up with farseek, plus it solves mana issues.... and acidic slime is a great creature to help destroy land....and block big creatures/

Well like I said in the OP I'm avoiding going green, cooky cutter G/B or G/W land destruction doesn't really tickle my fancy.

Some early discard effects could help eliminate their biggest threats until you can start wrecking their lands. Duress , Drainpipe Vermin , Corpse Traders , Gruesome Discovery , Mind Rot , and Ravenous Rats are all in standard.
