Trying to win FNM

Deck Help forum

I want to start winning more FNM's so I can build up my rare binder and so far my deck has not been cutting it getting 15th place all the time. So I decided to build a new deck. Looking into decks I decided to build Gruul Aggro and I ended up building the Gruul Aggro that placed 7th in the Miami Gran Prix. My question is would you change anything in the deck to make it better?

Moved to Deck Help.

It would be easiest for us to help you if you post the deck to the site, then give us a link.

Also, it's worth noting that tournament decks are built for specific metas, and the top-placing players often anticipate that certain decks or archetypes will be more prevalent or dangerous than others. You should make sure that your deck is suited to your own FNM meta. You could play the best control deck ever, but if your meta is full of fast, hyperaggressive decks, you're still going to lose.

In this case, think about how Gruul aggro matches up against the dominant decks in your area. Are there any decks that could stop yours? How prevalent are those decks?

There is always one other green red aggro deck that is always in the top 8 usually top 4. The decks played a lot are Junk Aristocrats, Jund Midrange, and Junk Reanimator. I play tested against one of the Junk Aristocrats and won 1 and lost 2 largely because I was getting used to the deck and misplayed.

I meant post the deck on the site, where users can directly offer comments and analyze the list.
